Privacy

The only thing this site collects is what you type into the form on the homepage. This page covers where that goes and how to get it deleted. It’s short because the site doesn’t do much.

What the form asks for

The form asks for six things: your name, the business, the line of business you’re in, an email, a phone number, and the box that asks what’s eating your time. Only the name, business, and email are required. The rest is up to you.

Two fields ride along that you never see. One is an empty box that only a spam bot would fill in, since it never shows up on your screen. The other is a subject line built from your name and your business, so the message is easy to find in an inbox later.

There’s no account to create and no password to pick. The site never asks for a card number, a bank account, or a social security number. If you’d rather not use the form, email millwrightlabs@gmail.com directly.

Who touches it

Netlify hosts this site, and the form posts to them. Netlify keeps a copy of the submission and emails it to millwrightlabs@gmail.com. That’s my inbox, and it runs on Gmail, so Google holds a copy the same way it holds the rest of my mail. What you send sits in two places, Netlify’s records and that inbox.

Nothing else is hooked up to the form. No CRM sits behind it and no other service is in the chain, so what you send goes no further.

What your browser loads from Google

The type on this site comes from Google Fonts. When the page loads, your browser asks Google’s servers for the stylesheet and then for the font files, so Google sees those requests along with your IP address and what browser you’re on. That’s the only outside service your browser reaches while you’re on the page. None of what Google sees in those font requests comes back to me, and none of it is tied to anything you send through the form.

What I don’t do with it

Your information is not for sale, and I don’t hand it to anyone who wants to sell you something. Millwright Labs doesn’t run a mailing list, so sending the form signs you up for nothing.

The site runs no ad network and no trackers, so nothing here follows you to the next site you open. Nothing counts visits either.

Getting it deleted

Write to millwrightlabs@gmail.com and say you want your submission gone. I’ll pull it out of Netlify and out of the inbox. You don’t owe me a reason.

I’m not going to pretend there’s a retention schedule behind this. A submission stays in the inbox and in Netlify’s records until you ask for it to go or until I clear it out on my own.

If this changes

Millwright Labs is a new company, and the site will grow. If I add anything that touches your information, whether that’s a tool that counts visits or a system that holds inquiries, this page gets rewritten to say so and the date below moves with it. Ask any time and I’ll tell you what’s running.
